I love their food! I went when I was younger and back when it was called Mama Chuys and I remember eating my first wet burrito ever. It was good.
One sick day on a weekday I wanted menudo but I knew a lot of places only sold it during weekends. I looked on yelp and saw this place sold it! So I placed an order for pick up and when I came, it was ready. The downside is that they charge $1? I think? If you use your card, regardless of how much you spend. They have signs that say that they prefer cash.
Anyways I got home and it was exactly what I needed. But THEIR HOMEMADE FLOUR TORTILLAS are so good. I kept raving about them and my sister tried it and she really liked it as well.
I liked it so much i took my mom there a few days later. There was a sign that said please wait to be seated but no one acknowledged us. I think that's my pet peeve when i go to restaurants, not being acknowledged when I get there. Not even a "we'll be right with you" if they're busy. After a while we finally got seated. The server was nice and friendly to us, very attentive. I decided I wanted to try something different so i got a carne asada plate and a side of posole. I like menudo better but I got posole to try it. It was good, but not as good as menudo in my opinion. Now, I don't eat posole too much but I thought they give you cabbage and onions and cilantro? Idk but I didn't get any.
Their flour tortillas are seriously so good, sometimes i wanna go back just for the tortillas lol. But their food is good too!

I have scoured different Mexican restaurants long and hard for the perfect caldo de pollo (chicken soup) and I've probably tried dozens of places and I can confidently say that this place takes the cake.

Now to be fair and transparent, this five star rating is only for the caldo de pollo because I have literally not tried anything else on the menu so I can't speak for the rest of their food.

You don't come for the ambiance here, you come for the food. You get bottomless chips and salsa upon being seated. As you already guessed, I order the chicken soup everytime. The caldo de pollo has the best flavor of any of the Mexican chicken soups I've tried. It comes with chopped up potatoes and carrots and they give a very generous serving of fall-off- the bone, tender chicken and it comes with a side of cilantro, chopped onions and fresh off the grill, home made flour tortillas which Are amazing to dip into the soup.

The portions are huge and even when I get a small portion, I always have leftovers to take home. It's not the cheapest place, I believe the bowl costs $15, but it's food that warms the soul especially when it's raining out or you're sick!

This place is worth the drive out for the chicken soup :)

Food is good. Fresh made tortillas. Pozole is good. Service sucks. Place is falling apart. Holes in the walls. It appears there is no longer management. I don't need to come back.

Service is superb. I got the wet burrito with carne asada made with a handmade tortilla, it just adds to the flavor! I swear the burrito is bigger than your head! The asada flavor is great, cooked perfectly! Their soda (coke) was cold and tasted really good after a long day. I really do like this place and would never go in I would always pass by but now I'm a fan! Mama Chuyita I wanna be your son cause your food is better than my moms!
Great service, even better food and I just want to say this place is a wonderful place to eat. Thank you for everything!!

Last night was our first time at this restaurant. We chose it because of the pictures posted by their customers and the reviews. I had the menudo and my daughter the Chile relleno combo. Our waitress was excellent our hand made tortillas were great.  The salsas were home made. We will be returning.
